Aston Villa was formed in 1874 by members of the Villa Cross Wesleyan Chapel. They are nicknamed ‘The Villa’ which has it’s origins to its founder members. They were also founder members of the Football League in 1888 and the Premier League in 1992. They have played their home games at Villa Park since 1897. Villa Park has hosted 16 England international and hosted 55 FA Cup Semi-Finals

Villa wear claret shirts with sky blue trim, white shorts and sky blue sock. Their badge is a rampant lion. Aston Villa have a large fanbase from the Midlands and beyond, with many supporters groups spread across the world. Their main rivals are Birmingham City, also known as the Blues.
